Airtable pricing (2026): plans, per-seat cost and calculator

Airtable charges per seat: Team is $20 per seat per month billed annually ($24 billed monthly), Business is $45 ($54). Enter your team size to see what that adds up to, and what a flat-priced alternative costs.

Airtable billing

Airtable editors need a paid seat; Rowflare has no seats. Prices in USD, excluding tax.

Cloud saves vs Business$5,052per year

Self-hosted assumes the $5/month Cloudflare Workers Paid minimum. Usage above the included quotas (25 billion rows read and 50 million rows written per month, among others) may add a little; see costs. Rowflare Cloud Paid is $29 per workspace per month with unlimited members; its Free plan covers small bases.

Airtable record limits per base

Free: 1,000 records per base. Team: 50,000. Business: 125,000. Enterprise Scale: 500,000. A single table can use the whole base limit, but not more. When a base reaches its limit you can still use it and Airtable keeps your data, but you cannot add records or attachments until you upgrade.

Who Airtable bills as a seat

Airtable charges per seat, and plans are attached to a workspace, not to an account. Which collaborators count depends on the plan. Collaborators with edit permissions added partway through a billing period are prorated.

So on Team, someone who only leaves comments costs a full seat. Business and Enterprise Scale also require a private email domain: Gmail, Yahoo and similar addresses cannot upgrade.

Airtable free plan limits

Your first workspace starts with a 14-day Team trial, then drops to Free unless you pay. The Free plan includes:

  • 1,000 records per base
  • 5 collaborators with Editor or Creator permissions, 50 with Commenter permissions, unlimited read-only
  • 1,000 API calls per workspace per month
  • 100 automation runs per workspace per month, 75 automations per base
  • 1 GB of attachments per base
  • 2 weeks of revision and snapshot history
  • 500 AI credits per editor per month
  • No extensions, no record coloring, no calendar date ranges; forms keep Airtable branding

API calls per month

  • Free: 1,000 per workspace per month
  • Team: 100,000 per workspace per month
  • Business: Unlimited

When a workspace reaches its automation or API limit, Airtable caps usage at the plan limit (pricing page FAQ).

AI credits

Every plan includes monthly AI credits, pooled across the workspace (Free and Team) or organization (Business and Enterprise Scale). Viewers get no allocation of their own. Field agents, AI automations and document analysis consume credits; Airtable's own example puts a 10-page contract analysis at about 200 credits.

Team15,000 per billable collaborator
Business20,000 per paid user
Enterprise Scale25,000 per paid user

Free workspaces have to upgrade to get more. Team and self-serve Business can buy packs:

Extra credits per monthMonthlyAnnual
10,000$20 / month$200 / year
50,000$100 / month$1,000 / year
100,000$200 / month$2,000 / year
400,000$800 / month$8,000 / year
Selected packs from Airtable AI billing, checked 2026-10-22. Packs scale linearly at $2 per 1,000 credits a month.

In Rowflare, AI fields use your own key with Anthropic or any OpenAI-compatible service, or Workers AI on Cloudflare, so model calls are billed by that provider at its own rates and there are no credits.

How Airtable pricing adds up

  • Monthly billing costs 20% more than annual on both Team ($24 vs $20) and Business ($54 vs $45).
  • Seats multiply with every editor, and on Team with every commenter, so the bill tracks headcount rather than usage.
  • SAML single sign-on starts on Business.
  • AI beyond the included credits is a separate monthly charge.

Rowflare in one line

Rowflare is an open-source Airtable alternative (AGPL-3.0) that runs in your own Cloudflare account: $5/month to Cloudflare for the whole team, or $29 per workspace per month hosted. Full Airtable vs Rowflare fact table.
